Do I need an Internet connection to use this EMR system?

To use it, physicians or clinic's staff members just have to open an Internet Explorer browser window from a terminal/computer over the LAN, point it to the login page, provide credentials and log in. If there is no network or for some reason a physician wants to use it alone, the EMR may be installed on a desktop, laptop or Tablet PC of the doctor and used through a browser window from that very same machine. In either case, there is absolutely no need for web or an Internet connection to use the program or access patient charts and other data stored within the medical record system.

Is this EMR certified to help me qualify for ARRA incentive?
No EMR product or vendor can claim to be certified at this moment. The "meaningful use" requirements have only been finalized on July 13, 2010 whereas the certification bodies, the organizations to test and certify electronic medical records systems, are still being established by the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC). You may consider visiting this new and official CMS website for further details on the certification process and timeline. Having said that, our software already has many of the features required for meaningful use of the technology and we are working on filling out the gap as fast as possible. We expect to get the completed modules certified in the first quarter of 2011 to coincide with the government offering of stimulus to medical professionals sometime that same year.
